At Kiron Open Higher Education, we are dedicated to providing equitable access to education and unlocking its transformative potential. A cornerstone of this mission is THRIVE, our free upskilling program designed to support women with forced migration experiences to advance their careers. In this new cycle of THRIVE, 250 women currently living in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland will receive training in Data Analytics and Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI) – fields where skilled professionals are in high demand.
Forced migration affects millions of people worldwide, with women often facing unique barriers as they work to rebuild their lives. Limited access to education, professional networks, and job opportunities makes it challenging for many women to achieve stability and independence.
THRIVE seeks to close this gap by offering free, flexible training tailored to the needs of today’s job market. Developed by Kiron’s expert learning designers, the learning journey in this cycle will equip participants with technical skills in Data Analytics or Applied Artificial Intelligence (AI). It will also include language support, job readiness training, and access to professional networks – essential components for unlocking career opportunities and achieving sustainable professional growth.
THRIVE is more than a training program; it is a catalyst for broader societal impact. By equipping women with new skills, THRIVE strengthens families, builds resilient communities, and fosters inclusive workplaces. The success of the program’s first cycle demonstrated how access to technical skills and professional support boosts participants’ confidence while contributing to their professional and social integration. By training another 250 women in this cycle, Kiron continues to promote labour-market integration, social inclusion, and gender equity in today’s workplace where diverse talent is essential.
This cycle of THRIVE is made possible through the generous support of our dedicated partners, who share our vision of creating opportunities for equitable education. We are deeply grateful to Deutsche Postcode Lotterie, the FactSet Charitable Foundation, One Foundation, Capgemini, and Pfizer for their funding, which ensures that THRIVE remains accessible and impactful. Beyond financial support, the FactSet Charitable Foundation and Capgemini, as THRIVE signature partners, play a pivotal role in program implementation. Volunteer employees from these organizations will contribute by hosting topic-specific and soft-skill webinars, providing 1:1 coaching to participants, and facilitating live events in Berlin and potentially Frankfurt.
We deeply appreciate their commitment and collaboration in making THRIVE a success!
Applications for THRIVE are now open, and we are excited to welcome 250 women on this journey of upskilling and career advancement. If you meet the eligibility criteria, we encourage you to apply and take the first step toward a new career path in Data Analytics or Applied AI.
