Kiron Language School

Improving your language skills is a very important part of studying with Kiron.

Kiron offers language courses in different online and offline course formats for:

  •       English
  •       German
  •       French

In order to successfully apply to a university to get your Bachelor’s degree, proficiency in the local language is usually required from you.

I want to study online with Kiron

Most of the online course material is in English. A suggested starting language level in English is B2 (upper intermediate). When you begin to study with Kiron, we recommend that you achieve the necessary level of English language proficiency in order to follow your online courses.

You can find out your English skills with this free English test. The test will take you between 5 and 10 minutes.

At the end of the test you will receive a score from 0 to 25.Please find below how your test score translates into your English level (A2.1, A2.2,…):

I want to apply to a German university

If your goal is to apply and transfer to a German university it is important that you reach a high level of German language proficiency in addition to English.

  • Most German universities require that their applicants have a minimum of B2 to C1 (advanced) German.
  • Foreign students are required to prove this with an officially recognized certificate from a provider such as TestDaF, Goethe-Institut or DSH.*

* This applies to Bachelor’s programs. Regulations for Master’s programs might differ. Please check with the university.

I want to apply to a Jordanian university

If your goal is to apply and transfer to a Jordanian university it is important that you reach a high level of Arabic language proficiency in addition to English.

  • Most Jordanian universities require that their applicants have a minimum language level of B1 English and C1 (advanced) Arabic.
  • All students will be tested on their English and Arabic levels when entering university, and if the required level is not met, additional courses must be taken.

If your goal is to apply and transfer to a French public university it is important that you reach a high level of French language proficiency in addition to English. You don’t need to provide a specific certificate but a B2 level in French is recommended.
