As our new Digital Education Specialist

… you will be responsible for the selection, creation and curation of digital educational content on our platform Kiron Campus, aligned with the content strategy and the programs developed by our impact partners, as well as the management of content delivering partners. 


In this role, you will…

… be responsible for a variety of things, instead of just focusing on one aspect of learning design. You will influence Kiron’s learning platform (Kiron Campus), create courses and programs based on learner feedback, strategic direction as well as input from evaluators and data analysts. Together with our Senior Education Specialist, you’ll be setting up evaluation, quality management and data collection processes around Kiron’s and partner’s courses and programs. The role fuses educational expertise with agile- and partnerships management. You’ll be working closely with our Collective Impact Campus partners, our Curriculum Coordinators in Jordan & Lebanon, and the Network Engagement Team.

 

 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing digital education programs 
  • Creating diverse learning materials for specific projects
  • Selecting and curating from content-partners’ catalogs and Open Educational Resources (OERs)
  • Liaising with our impact partners as well as internal and external stakeholders to ensure they deliver their learning programs successfully
  • Validating/reviewing/adapting learning content created by our impact partners to ensure it aligns with Kiron’s content strategy and quality standards

 

 

You will work on projects like:

  • The curation of content for learning programs about topics, such as Critical Thinking, Digital Skills or English for professional contexts 
  • Supporting partners use the Kiron platform to create and deliver their learning programs
  • Delivering digital education workshops for partners

 

 

About you

To succeed and grow in this position, you likely…

  • Have worked as a digital education specialist (or in a role with relevant transferable skills)
  • You have experience in the field of education, have a learner centered mindset and think in terms of learning objectives 
  • Are familiar with online learning products as well as tech-savvy 
  • Have experience managing relationships with partners or external actors
  • Have worked with or relate to our target group who often live and learn under difficult circumstances
  • Know how to use Google suite
  • Speak English and German at proficient level

 

… and will be:

  • Passionate about digital education and its potential 
  • Creative in how you design engaging learning content
  • A great communicator  to align with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • A problem-solver with the ability to work on many projects at the same time and coordinate with internal stakeholders for timely deliverables  
  • Flexible to accommodate the needs of partners
  • Interested in getting in contact with a global network of organizations
  • Hands-on, open-minded, adaptable and open for tasks of different nature 
  • Comfortable working remotely

 

Ideally, you might also have: 

  • Experience with LMS, SCORM, OER
  • Knowledge about adult education theory
  • Previous teaching experience

This is what you can expect…

After your first month, you will be familiar with Kiron’s Frontend and Backend, with the content on our Campus, and with the structure of the organization and the projects the team is working on.

After three months, you will be able to build and implement learning materials on the platform following Kiron’s process and tools, such as StoryBoards. You will also be able to join partner calls and contribute to projects.

After six months, you will be self-sufficient in workflow, confident using Kiron’s BE and FE to develop a curriculum, and able to onboard & support impact partners delivering their programs via our platform.

After one year, you will be shaping Kiron’s content strategy, priorities, and the strategic orientation of program- and product development. You’ll be able to identify students’ needs, perform quality management, lead course and programme implementation on our Campus, as well as onboard new team members.
